Firstly, apologies for the lack of newsletters this last few months. That all changes now!! With a packed calendar of events, articles, exclusive merchandise and much more planned throughout the 125th Anniversary Season celebrations, we’ll be keeping you up to date with what is going on and how you can get actively involved. As you may be aware, since late last year, the Barrow 125 group led by Steve Herbert and including representatives from the Bluebirds Trust, Barrow AFC, Give ‘Em Beans, the Dock Museum and individuals from across the fanbase have been busy organising and hosting some introductory events including the “Antiques Roadshow” event in the Crossbar prior to the Crawley game (see video by Football Heritage @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v11dFIGBhZ8) and the launch of the Barrow 125 Heritage Trail (see news story https://bluebirdstrust.co.uk/barrow-bairns-rev-up-for-the-125/). In the next few weeks though, the celebrations begin in earnest with the exhibition at the Dock Museum, and the events surrounding the friendly against Blackpool to name but two. Prior to the main game, at 11am on Saturday 25th July supporters teams from both clubs will line up at the Strawberry Grounds in a reenactment of Barrow AFC’s first ever game. You can sign up to play in that game now at https://s.surveyplanet.com/099ihjpu We welcome EVERYONE over the age of 16 to come and join the squad and represent 125 years of Barrow AFC supporters.
