Trust Statement re Ian Evatt

We are, of course, very disappointed that Ian has decided to further his career elsewhere but he leaves with our warmest thanks. He has helped us realise a forty-eight year old dream that many thought impossible.

Ian and his team have coached a brand of exciting, progressive football that we have loved watching and he has galvanised our support. Ian, Peter and the coaching team’s time in Barrow will never be forgotten and their place in our club’s history is assured. 

Football moves on and we are in a good place as a club. The success of the last few years has not been just in the dugout, as we take our place back in the Football League. On the pitch, in the boardroom, in the wider support and in the town we have all played our part. All those buidling blocks are still here.

We’ve waited such a long time for these moments, so let’s go forward and enjoy them!
