On Wednesday it was announce that Levi Gill was to be appointed the CEO of Barrow AFC. Levi has been our representative on the Club board for the last couple of seasons, Levi has offered his resignation from the Trust Board and position of the representative.
The Trust Board would like to place on record our thanks for Levi’s efforts and assistance in building extremely strong bridges with the Club. We wish Levi all the best in his new role and we look forward to working with him to continue the success of Barrow AFC.
As per the Trust Rules, the representative position and seat on the Club board automatically reverts to the Trust Chair, Steve Herbert.
Steve has kindly agreed to fill the void until the Trust AGM, at which point the membership will elect who they wish to take on the role going forward. Steve has already launched into action and can be found at Holker Street on most days!
The period until our AGM is going to be used to take stock. The Trust has grown phenomenally in the last few years thanks to the support of our members and wider fan base. We now need to ensure the Trust is in the best shape for the next challenge of tackling the Football League!
We are going to use this opportunity to have a full review of the all positions within the Trust, therefore allowing us to be able to present a wide range of clearly defined roles for members of the Trust Board. Closer to the time, these roles will be communicated out and there will be an opportunity for everyone to put themselves forward for a role.
The date of the AGM is yet to be confirmed, this will be announced shortly, however, it is envisaged to be in the next 8-12 weeks.
If you have any comments or queries about the roles review, please email info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk.
Thank you for your continued support.
