We remind you that the Bluebirds Trust AGM for 2020-21 is coming up in a few weeks time, details below. We hope to see some of you at the meeting. For those that cannot attend but wish to vote in the elections, please find a proxy form that can be returned by email or post by Friday 19th November. The Chairmans report and accounts will be available at the meeting and then online afterwards.

BARROW AFC INDEPENDENT SUPPORTERS SOCIETY LIMITED

(the “Bluebirds Trust”)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Bluebirds Trust will be held at the Crossbar, Barrow AFC on Saturday 20^th November 2021 at 11:00am.

The business to be conducted at that meeting shall comprise :-

Welcome and apologies for absence.

Acceptance of the minutes of the 2019-20 AGM as a true record (available online at 2019-20 AGM Minutes )

Ratification of the policy to allow members on 31st July 2022 to attend and vote at the AGM, according to Rule 38 of the Society.

Receipt and consideration of the Chairman’s Full Year Report

Ratification of the decision of the Society Board to disapply the obligation under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 (or any Act or Acts amending or in replacement thereof) to appoint auditors, given that the turnover of the society is within the specified threshold for audit exemption.

Receipt and consideration of a revenue account and balance sheet of the Society for the financial year ended 31st May 2021.

The appointment of an independent Examiner of the Society’s accounts for the year ending 31st May 2022.

To agree that surplus funds held by the Society shall be used for a) the maintenance of prudent reserves and b) in progressing the stated aims and purposes of the Society, until the next Annual General Meeting.
