As a reminder, the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Barrow Independent Supporters Society Limited (the “Society”) will be held at the Crossbar, SO Legal Stadium, Wilkie Road, Barrow in Furness, Cumbria, LA14 5UW, on Saturday 28 October 2023 at 11.00am.
This will be a hybrid meeting with those unable to attend in person able to access the meeting via Zoom. Eligible members should check their email to find the link for accessing the AGM by Zoom.
For those who attend in person, bacon buns and tea/coffee will be available prior to the meeting.
The final calling notice, proxy form and minutes of last year’s AGM minutes are attached to the email sent to eligible members. The final accounts for 22-23 will be circulated to members as soon as they are available to us and passed as a true record by the Trust Board.
We really would encourage you to attend this meeting, or send your apologies with a proxy form as having a quorate AGM is very important and we have just scraped by with the minimum number in attendance in recent years. It is also your chance to directly elect the Trust Board and have your say on how we operate moving forward.
As you will know, Steve Herbert is standing down as Chair at this meeting. Steve’s contribution to the Bluebirds Trust has been immense and it will only become clear just how much we will miss him as the things he has done previously are no longer covered. Even with the extra input from those seeking election at this meeting, managing the Trust as we have grown along side the club has become ever more time consuming and we will struggle to maintain yet alone build on our success without further help.
