Saturday saw a Barrow supporters team take on Blackpool supporters at Strawberry Fields (Furness Rugby Union) in a re-enactment fixture to celebrate the Bluebirds 125th Anniversary.
The Bluebirds ran out 8-3 winners with goals from: Lewis Knott, James Reid, Matt Clarke, Derry Greaves and Henry Armer. Both team represented their clubs fantastically, with a great fixture played between the two clubs.

Bluebirds Trust Rep Ronan McCarthy said ‘It was a fantastic occasion and a privilege to be involved in such a historic event for the football club. My thanks goes out to all those who contributed to get this match on, without your support we wouldn’t have able to undertake such a fantastic day. A special thank you to Furness Rugby who were exceptional hosts. It was brilliant to be able to round off the event with a win for Bluebirds!’

A huge thank you to all those who sponsored, with a special thank you to match sponsor Elain Warden and Home Kit sponsor Bay Towage. An extended thank you to all those who played, Furness Rugby, our match officials and the first aid team who supported the event.

Blackpool Captain Callum Ewing collected the runners-up trophy with Barrow Captain Lewis Knott proudly collecting the winners trophy.
