Trust Ticket Scheme welcomes families to Holker Street

The first recipients of the Bluebirds Trust Tickets scheme for this season will be attending the Barrow v Torquay game tomorrow. A group of 6 families will be atteding the game thanks to the funds raised at the Trust Five a side tournament which was held in the summer and donations from Trust members. The ticket scheme, now in its 3rd season has helped various groups and individuals to attend Barrow games in the past. Bluebirds Trust Update w/e 26th August

The AGM of the Bluebirds Trust will take place on Friday 29th September 2017 at the Crossbar at Holker Street starting at 7pm. The meeting will be held in a Corporate Room as the main room is being used for another function. Drinks will be available in the Corporate room. All eligible members have been sent the AGM Notice, along with nomination forms if they wish to join the board, which should be returned to the Secretary by the 4th September. Any member who has not received the notice should contact the secretary as a matter of urgency on secretary@bluebirdstrust.co.uk The Trust board meeting for September will take place at St Georges Primary School, School Street, Barrow on Saturday September 2nd at 11.00am. New prizes on offer in the Bluebirds Trust / Barrow AFC Community Sports Raffle sponsored by Best-One Ormsgill Tonight sees the return to action at Holker Street and the return of the match day raffle. This season we have revamped the prizes on offer to include a second cash prize and a match ticket which can be used at any home league game this season. 1st Prize £75 cash 2nd Prize Matchday ticket for a future league game 3rd Prize £5 cash The money we raise on the raffle is split 50-50 between the Trust and the Community Sports at Barrow AFC. Last season over £3000 was raised for them and was spent on various equipment like tablets for the coaches and playing and training kit for the junior sides.…

Congratulations to FC Rikki who beat David Shinola 2-1 in the final for the Ambrose Cup We had a great day at the Bluebirds Trust tournament 2017. Around £750 was raised which will be used to purchase Barrow AFC match tickets for those who might not normally be able to attend. Thanks to all our referees and helpers, participants and to our sponsors Leitch Construction and The Ambrose Hotel, and of course our hosts Hindpoool Tigers RLFC. Bluebirds Trust are holding a 5 a side football tournament on Sunday 23rd July at Hindpool Rugby League Ground. It will be run on the same lines as the successful tournament of two years ago. We are raising money for Trust projects, with a focus on providing season tickets for young people and groups who might otherwise not get the chance to see Barrow play. We will be supported by commentary and interviews from Radio Lonsdale and there will also hopefully be filming from those involved in Barrow AFC filming. The tournament will start at 11am and finish around 3.30pm. Each team can have a squad of up to 8 and entries cost £50 per team, with a minimum of 4 games being guaranteed. We had entered into a repayment agreement with a former Board Member to rectify the situation.
